The Parade of Homes event is put on every year by the Lakes Region Builders & Remodelers Association (LRBRA) to give the public an opportunity to see inside the newest homes being built in the Lakes Region area. Attendees who are looking to build or buy a new home can meet multiple builders in one day or weekend. The Parade is also great for inspiring ideas for those hoping to renovate their existing home.
Builders take this opportunity to showcase the newest building techniques and industry trends, and to market themselves to hundreds of visitors!
Know Before You Go.
A little preparation will go a long way toward a productive parade-of-homes visit. Here are a few tips:
Plan your route in advance for the weekend. Visit a few each day or make a fun day of it and visit all homes on the tour.
Be prepared for any kind of weather, and wear comfortable shoes — you’ll be walking a lot. Often “booties” are provided at the front doors of each home for visitors to slip over their shoes as a courtesy.
Give yourself enough time at each home to take notes or jot down a few memory points about the homes you like best. Cameras are allowed!
When you are done with your last home on your customized tour, be sure to vote — and look for the results. Your vote will reflect your favorite home overall and represent “The 2015 “Peoples Choice Award.”
Don’t forget to enter the Raffles for some great Prizes!
Purchase your ticket at your first home on the tour and pick up our new 24-page color parade guidebook featuring all of the homes on the tour with photos and descriptions and map, as well as sponsors representing many of the products that you will see first hand in the homes.
